The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka has directed on 4th January 2022 to the Inspector General of Police to provide the below-mentioned information with regard to the detainees detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

· Inform the HRCSL within 48 hours about the arrest, place of detention, and time of the arrest

· Inform the HRCSL about the release or transfer of the detainees to other detention places
