The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) has continued its inquiry into the alleged leak of the Grade 5 scholarship examination paper, which has caused public outrage. On October 1, 2024, representatives from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the complainant party were present at the inquiry.

During the inquiry, it was revealed that the CID’s investigations into the incident remains incomplete. In response, the HRCSL instructed the CID to expedite its investigations and the CID has agreed to collect evidence from the complainant party on October 2, 2024, at 1:30 p.m.
