Recognizing its responsibility to better respond to the high prevalence of violations committed against women and gender minorities in Sri Lanka and taking cognizant of the many cases that go unreported Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) would wish to establish Gender Focal Point (GFP) at its Head Office, No 14, R A De Mel Mawatha, Colombo 04.

The primary objective of the GFP is to facilitate access to justice in a more focused manner for women and gender minorities who face numerous injustices and human rights violations on the basis of their gender. This service will be available from October 1, 2024, at The HRCSL Head Office and its Regional Offices.
