“Words Hurt: Youth Reflections on Hate Speech”
The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka has organized its second annual Youth Camp for Human Rights at the Hope Auditorium of Mas Athena, Mas Fabric Park Thulhiriya, from 5th to 9th December 2019 on the above theme. The inaugural ceremony will be held on 5th December at 2.00 pm and the keynote speech on ‘Democratic Life: Perceiving the World in a Democratic Way’ will be delivered by Dr Deepika Udagama Chairperson, Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka. The objectives of the Youth Camp is to sensitize youth leaders of Sri Lanka on the value based of human rights to promote the building of human rights culture in the country and to encourage the youth to be proactive citizens. The closing ceremony will be held on 9th December. Youth leaders representing all 25 districts have been selected for participation in the event.
